Koiné Concert – August 2 – 2:00pm

Koiné, is a Christian band, from the Midwest, that is gaining  nationwide notoriety. Koiné has become known for putting a new modern twist on traditional Christian music.  Koiné has toured across 35 states, producing 5 studio albums with a  repertoire of over 250 hymns.

Join us for an outdoor concert with Koiné at St. John’s Lutheran, Renville on Saturday, August 2 at 2:00pm on the south lawn.

Bring a lawn chair and a blanket to spread! A freewill offering will be gather to offset the expenses for the band.  Before the concert a Hog Roast will be held from 11:30am-1:30pm. Roasted pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, country coleslaw, chips, and 1919 root beer floats, and more, will all be available.  Meal proceeds will benefit Little Lambs.

Outdoor Worship Service – August 3 at 9:00am in Renville

A very special worship service will be held on Sunday, August 3 in Renville at 9:00am.  During this worship service we will join together and celebrate our joint effort of starting Little Lambs Learning Center. Our wonderful Lord has not only blessed our congregations with this desire and single purpose, but he has also seen fit to provide for us a director who will lead this ministry among us – Miss Stephanie Punke.  Miss Punke will be installed at this outdoor worship service.

Our usual services in our own church buildings will be suspended on August 3 so that we can gather together in one location on this very special Sunday.

The church band Koiné will still be in town and will help lead us in worship. Mark your calendar and join us in Renville on August 3. Pray that the Lord will bless this special worship service and Little Lambs Learning Center.

Please note that this will effect our communion schedule at St. Matthew’s Danube, communion will be celebrated only on the 3rd Sunday and Tuesday in August.
